Trust & Safety
This is a home, not a platform.
Safety is the whole point.
Every rule, every design decision, every moderation policy was built around a single question: what would make a woman feel safe enough to say the thing she hasn't told anyone yet?
Our policies
Women-only community
Girl, Help Me is exclusively for women. This is not a preference — it is the foundation the community is built on. Accounts are required to verify gender identity during registration. Accounts found to be in violation of this policy are removed without appeal.
Anonymous by default
Any user can post anonymously. Your display name and avatar are hidden from the community feed. Your identity is retained internally for safety purposes only — we need to be able to respond if something goes wrong. Anonymous posts are not traceable by other community members.
Crisis detection — always on
The Platform monitors posts in real time for signals of self-harm, suicidal ideation, and domestic violence. When a signal is detected, a resource card is immediately surfaced with crisis lines and support organisations. We do not wait for reports.
Advisor vetting — 3 tiers
All advisors go through a 3-tier vetting process: identity verification, background and experience review, and a communication evaluation. Advisor status can be revoked at any time for conduct that does not meet our standards. We maintain an ongoing quality review process.
Reporting and moderation
Every post and response has a report option. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team within 24 hours. Serious violations — harassment, hate speech, sharing private information without consent — result in immediate account suspension pending investigation.
One story, many sides
We remind our community that every post shares one perspective. Our "One Story" reminder surfaces on relationship and family posts to prompt responses grounded in compassion, not judgment. We actively discourage pile-on behaviour.
Zero tolerance
What we do not allow.
See something? Say something.
Use the report button on any post or response to flag content for review. For urgent safety concerns or to report a serious violation directly, email our safety team at safety@girlhelpme.co. We take every report seriously.
